Facebook has deleted more than five hundred accounts which spread rumors about Corona with fake and confusing messages. It is said that these accounts were controlled by an organized clique in China. The world's most influential social media site has already shut down 524 Facebook accounts, 20 pages, 4 groups and 86 Instagram accounts based on complaints from users. According to the BBC, the United States is interfering with the investigation team working to find the source of the Corona from the account of a man named Wilson Edwards. And the Chinese media is spreading that widely. Looking at that profile, it is known that Edwards, a citizen of Switzerland, is a biologist. However, the Swiss government says no one by that name exists in their country. Last July, Wilson Edwards, a self-proclaimed Swiss biologist from an account, claimed that the United States was pressuring the World Health Organization (WHO) team, which is looking for the source of the Corona, to place the blame on China. Almost all of China's state-run media, including CGTN, the Shanghai Daily, and the Global Times, took the post seriously. However, the account was opened just two weeks before that post. Meta, the parent company of Facebook, says the propaganda was carried out by China's Sichuan Silence Information Technology Company.
